1. About this website
Reelpockscenegarden provides free editorial information about Lisbon markets, vintage art, prints, ceramics and responsible collecting. It is not an online marketplace, seller, auctioneer, tour operator, appraiser or authentication service. There is no shopping cart, booking facility or account system. The illustrative company profile shown in the footer must not be treated as a verified registration, business credential or address for visits. These terms describe use of the site, not a contract to purchase an object.
2. Using the guidance responsibly
Market schedules, transport arrangements, seller availability and local access conditions can change. Check current official information before travelling. Budget bands describe spending limits and hypothetical planning choices, not verified asking prices, valuations or expected investment returns. Illustrations show themes rather than identifiable stock for sale. We do not claim to have inspected the objects a reader may encounter.
Condition and authenticity observations are educational. Obtain qualified conservation, attribution, tax, customs or legal advice when the stakes require it. You are responsible for evaluating a purchase and arranging safe transport. A link or a mention of a real organisation is not an endorsement, partnership or guarantee of that organisation’s services.
3. User obligations
Use the website lawfully and without interfering with access for others. Do not introduce malicious code, attempt unauthorised access, overload the service, harvest personal information or use contact channels for fraud, threats or unsolicited bulk advertising. Do not misrepresent your identity when raising a rights request or correction.
When using the guides in Lisbon, respect private property, sellers’ handling instructions and photography preferences. Do not remove architectural tiles or purchase objects you reasonably suspect are stolen. Nothing on this site authorises trespass, unlawful export or damage to cultural heritage.
4. Intellectual property and submissions
Original website copy, layout and illustrations are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. You may read, link to and print reasonable portions for personal, non-commercial use, preserving attribution. Other uses may require permission, subject to statutory exceptions such as quotation. Third-party names and marks remain the property of their respective owners.
If you email a correction or suggestion, you retain rights in your material. You permit its use only as reasonably necessary to review and respond to that enquiry. Public attribution, publication of substantial submitted material or promotional use should be separately agreed. Do not send material you have no right to disclose.
5. Availability and limitation of liability
We aim for useful, clear information but cannot promise uninterrupted access or the absence of every error. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not accept liability for indirect losses or purchasing decisions based solely on general editorial content. This wording does not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or injury caused by negligence, nor does it remove mandatory consumer rights.
Transactions with dealers or private sellers are separate from this website. The seller’s identity, description, payment terms and applicable law govern that transaction. An in-person purchase does not automatically carry the same cancellation rights as a qualifying distance sale.
6. Restriction and termination
There are no user accounts to terminate. Where technically and legally appropriate, access or correspondence may be restricted to address abuse, security threats or repeated unlawful conduct. We may update or withdraw editorial pages. Restrictions should be proportionate and do not cancel rights or obligations that must survive under applicable law. You may stop using the site at any time and clear its browser storage.
7. Governing law and disputes
These terms are intended to be governed by Portuguese law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections in their country of habitual residence where those protections apply. First raise a concern through Contact so it can be understood and, where possible, resolved informally. No compulsory arbitration or waiver of statutory remedies is imposed. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable law remain available, including a consumer’s local courts where required.
Changes will be reflected in the date above. A material change does not retroactively remove accrued rights. The privacy policy and cookie policy explain information handling separately.
