1. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small records a website can ask your browser to store and send with later requests. Local storage is a related browser feature, but its values are not automatically included with each web request. This website’s own code does not set HTTP cookies. It uses local storage to remember your privacy preferences, so the banner does not keep returning as you move between guides.
This policy covers the supplied website code. A hosting platform and external image provider may have their own security or infrastructure behaviour; the live operator should verify and disclose any additional cookies before deployment. The company details presented on the site are an illustrative profile, not verification of an operational business.
2. What is stored here
| Category | Name / technology | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | rpsg_consent_v1First-party local storage | Stores choice, optional-category flags, policy version and selection timestamp. | 180 days; checked on page load and when preferences open. |
| Analytics | None installed | No audience measurement or visitor profiling. | Not applicable |
| Functional | None installed | No saved searches, embedded maps or optional personalisation. | Not applicable |
The essential record contains no unique visitor identifier, name or contact address. Contact form contents are not copied into it. Because local storage has no native expiry timer, an expired record is removed when the script next checks it, rather than being erased while you are away from the website.
Your browser may also cache photographs, styles and other page resources as part of normal loading. This cache is separate from the preference record and is managed by your browser and resource-response settings, not by a site-created visitor identifier.
3. Accepting, rejecting and customising
“Accept All” records permission for the listed optional categories. “Reject Non-Essential” records those categories as disabled. “Preferences” lets you choose analytics and functional settings individually while essential preference storage remains enabled. No optional tools are currently present, so accepting does not secretly load a service or create additional storage.
All three approaches leave the guides available. If optional tools are introduced later, their providers, purposes and durations must be disclosed and any required fresh consent obtained before activation. A general choice today is not permission for an undisclosed future purpose.
4. Changing your mind
Use “Cookie preferences” in any footer to reopen the controls and save a new choice. The new record replaces the previous one on this device and browser. Preferences are not synchronised by this website across phones, computers or browser profiles. If storage is blocked, your choice can be respected for the current page, but the banner may return on a later visit.
Clearing site data removes the record and causes the banner to appear again. That action does not delete emails you have independently sent. See the privacy policy for information about correspondence and applicable data rights.
5. Browser opt-out instructions
- Chrome: open Settings, then Privacy and security. Use Site settings or the site-data controls to find this domain and remove its stored data.
- Firefox: open Settings, then Privacy & Security. Under Cookies and Site Data, choose Manage Data, search for this domain and remove it.
- Safari: on macOS, open Settings, Privacy and Manage Website Data. On iPhone or iPad, use Safari’s website-data controls within system Settings.
- Edge: open Settings and search for “site data” or “cookies”. Find this domain in the stored-site list and delete its data.
Labels vary with browser versions. Blocking third-party cookies alone may not clear first-party local storage. Use the browser’s site-data controls for a full reset. Private browsing may discard preferences when its session ends. The site does not override Global Privacy Control or require you to turn privacy settings off.
6. External services and questions
Our maps are local drawings. Homepage photographs are loaded directly from images.unsplash.com as page content, without waiting for an external-link click. These requests transmit ordinary network information to the image provider. They use a no-referrer policy and do not include our local consent record or contact-form contents. The optional-category switches do not block image delivery. See our privacy policy and Unsplash’s privacy policy for more information.
Following an external link opens a separate website whose cookie policy then applies. For questions about this inventory, use [email protected], subject to the mailbox-verification notice in our privacy policy.
